The Women’s History Month Project

As former appellate director and legislative liaison for the Office of Respondent Parents’ Counsel, Ruchi Kapoor helped establish and oversee Colorado’s first appellate program for respondent parents in child welfare cases. A Colorado native, Ruchi has been an active member of the legal community, holding leadership positions in both the Denver and Colorado Bar Associations as well as the South Asian Bar Association of Colorado and the Colorado Women’s Bar Association. In honor of Women’s History Month, Ruchi catches up with three prominent Colorado judges — Judge Pax Moultrie, Judge Neeti Pawar, and Judge Terry Fox — to discuss their journeys to the bench and the challenges facing women in the law today.
