Description:

In 2012, the annual Huntington Society Dinner was held at the newly completed Visitor Center. The state-of-the-art Visitor Center is meant to communicate Northeastern’s rapidly rising international profile in both academics and research. A combination of innovative technology and flexible spaces make the center an ideal platform for fully engaging the over 70,000 prospective students who visit the campus annually.

The Visitor Center defines a new paradigm for college admissions that moves well beyond traditional campus tours by providing an immersive, customized, interactive experience. The “high-touch, high-tech” space captures the University’s experiential and innovative approach to education. Equipped with an 11’ high by 120’ long illuminated wall with several large interactive touch-screen displays and dozens of iPad stations, the new center provides a dynamic space bringing prospective students and their families together with current students, faculty, and staff.
